Nintendo's full remake of the N64 classic launched on November 5. Here's what it costs and how the first review landed.
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time — a full remake of the 1998 Nintendo 64 classic — launched on Nintendo Switch 2 on November 5, 2026. It is developed and published by Nintendo.
The first review
Japanese magazine Famitsu gave the remake 9, 9, 9 and 10, for a total of 37/40. That matches the 2011 3DS version's score; the N64 original famously earned a perfect 40/40.
NPR called the remake "superb, streamlined and safe", while Nintendo Life described it as a stunning remake that isn't quite definitive.
Price
The physical edition costs $69.99 in the US (£58.99 in the UK). The digital version on the Nintendo eShop is cheaper at $59.99 (£49.99).
Why it matters
