World of Warcraft: Forever is live — Blizzard's third take on WoW
Not Classic, not retail: a permanent new version of Azeroth with a new race, three new zones and no flying.
World of Warcraft: Forever launched on November 4, 2026 for PC and Mac. Blizzard calls it its third permanent WoW experience, alongside the modern game and Classic — "not a mode, a season, or a new version of Classic."
What's new
Forever takes players from level 1 to 60 and adds a new race, the Skyborne, who start on the new Zephras Isle zone. Blizzard lists three new zones, more than 1,000 new quests, nine dungeons, two launch raids (10- and 20-player) and a new 15v15 battleground.
The rules
There are no flying mounts, no level scaling and no planned level cap increases. New systems include a social Camping buff, account-wide Legacy rewards, opt-in transmog, toggleable HD/SD character models and official gamepad support.
How to play
Access is included with any active World of Warcraft subscription or game time. More raids arrive on December 9, and a Hardcore mode is on the way.
