Minecraft Dungeons II debuts at 75 on Metacritic
Mojang's sequel adds jumping, four-piece armour and talismans, and moves the dungeon crawler closer to vanilla Minecraft.
Minecraft Dungeons II launched on September 29, 2026 for PC, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, and opened with a Metascore of 75.
What's changed
Developed by Mojang Studios with Double Eleven, the sequel adds a jump, splits armour into four separate pieces and introduces talismans for passive stat bonuses. The inventory has been improved and the whole game has a new art style.
The story deals with threats from Minecraft's Deep Dark and Ancient Cities, and up to four players can team up in co-op.
