It's official: The Elder Scrolls VI is called Sentinel
Todd Howard revealed the title and logo in Bethesda Game Studios' 40th anniversary video — eight years after the game was first teased.
On November 3, Bethesda Game Studios celebrated its 40th anniversary with a video — and used it to finally name its next game: The Elder Scrolls VI: Sentinel.
"Everybody's always asking about Elder Scrolls 6," Todd Howard said before showing the title and logo over desert sand imagery.
Where is it set?
Bethesda hasn't said. But in Elder Scrolls lore, Sentinel is the capital of Hammerfell, the desert homeland of the Redguards — and the sandy logo fits that theory perfectly.
Don't expect it soon
There is no release window, no platform list and no gameplay yet. Bethesda itself warned that the game is still far off, and Bloomberg's Jason Schreier reported that it is more than two years away.
The Elder Scrolls VI was first teased at E3 2018, so even a name is a big moment for fans who have waited since Skyrim in 2011.
