GTA 6 on PC could arrive as early as Q1 2027, report says
Four industry sources told GamesBeat that Rockstar is targeting January–March 2027 for the PC version. Rockstar hasn't confirmed it.
Grand Theft Auto VI still launches only on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 19, 2026. But PC players may not have to wait long: according to a GamesBeat report published on October 13, Rockstar is aiming to release the PC version in the first quarter of 2027.
What we know — and what we don't
The report cites four anonymous industry sources. Rockstar did not respond to a request for comment, and nothing has been announced officially, so treat it as a strong rumour rather than a date.
If it holds, the gap would be far shorter than last time. GTA V launched on consoles in September 2013 and only reached PC in April 2015 — roughly a year and seven months later.
Why PC matters this time
PC is home to GTA's role-play scene: Rockstar bought Cfx.re, the team behind the FiveM role-play platform, in 2023, and FiveM runs only on PC. A quicker PC release would bring that community into GTA VI much sooner.
Meanwhile, the console date hasn't moved: Take-Two has repeatedly reaffirmed November 19.
